*Upcoming Infrastructure Improvement Project-Shopes Creek Road & Midland Trail Drive*
In the coming weeks, Cannonsburg Water District will begin a major infrastructure improvement project along Shopes Creek Road and Midland Trail Drive. This initiative includes the replacement of approximately 2,000 feet of 12-inch water line, 16,000 feet of 8-inch and 3-inch water lines, 150 service line connections, and the installation of a new pump station.
This will be the largest infrastructure replacement project in Cannonsburg Water District’s history—and the first of many planned upgrades over the next several years as we address our aging water system.
Construction will be carried out by ConnHurst Construction LLC, with engineering and project management services provided by Bell Engineering. The project is expected to be completed by March 1, 2026.
We ask all residents and travelers to exercise caution in construction zones. Signage will be posted to alert drivers of lane reductions and the presence of workers. Please be mindful that this will be an active work site with heavy equipment and crews on location.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve the reliability and safety of our community’s water infrastructure.
